Supply Chain Manager
The Supply Chain Manager role sits right at the heart of the business and offers a varied and interesting workload. Working closely with the Head of Supply Chain, internal departments, and logistics providers to optimise demand and inventory management, logistics operations and customer fulfilment on a global scale.
The role requires an ability to deal with complexity and respond positively to change in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment. To forecast, plan and schedule assigned products to meet customer needs in the most timely and efficient manner. Meet customer service level objectives and planned inventory objectives.
The candidate will have experience of working as a Supply Chain Manager, with a varied supplier base, ideally including those from the Far East and India. Understanding import duties and shipping options. Will have worked in collaboration with Product Development teams and understand NPD critical path management. In addition, working with 3PL warehousing and third party logistics operations would be an advantage.
This is an exciting and challenging time as the supply chain is undergoing rapid change as Buster + Punch embark upon a significant expansion programme to meet their growing business and customer demands.
Demand Planning and Forecasting – Maintain forecasts, manage exception reports and analyse forecast discrepancies to understand and respond to trends and changes, with corrective actions. Work collaboratively across the business to plan for NPD, discontinuations, marketing events, offers and campaigns to overlay uplifts on base line forecasts.
Maintenance of Replenishment System – Review, refine and optimise purchasing parameters, to enhance the ordering pattern for all product ranges. Maintain accurate planning parameters in the systems – NetSuite an NetStock.
Purchasing – Interrogate and verify suggested schedule purchase orders and ensure bespoke customer requirements are met. Liaise with suppliers to confirm production dates and shipment dates in line with lead times. Communicate with customer service and sales team to align priorities to meet customer requirements.
Supplier Management – Work closely with overseas suppliers and the Buster + Punch China team to ensure pilot orders and purchase orders are completed on time and shipped in the order required. Review LT’s, replenishment cycles and MOQ’s to maintain lean supply chain principles. Proactively manage and agree solutions for manufacturing challenges and issues (capacity, machine down time, and fluctuations in resources).
Shipping and Distribution – Align purchasing to maximise the use of sea freight as a preferred route, maintain and update ETD’s and ETA’s in line with agreed SLA’s. Participate in regular freight reviews, set and control distribution cost budgets and manage any discrepancies with service providers and hauliers.
Stock Holding Management – Ensure optimum levels of stock to maximise customer availability and ensure high velocity lines are never out of stock within Model Stock levels. Manage surplus and obsolete inventory and develop exit plans to actively dispose if required.
Service Level KPI Management – Action daily and weekly KPI’s and dashboard exceptions, whilst identifying and resolving any issues with fulfilment. Support the development of and produce weekly and monthly supply chain KPI packs.
