Then the knurling happens, using a diamond-edge lathe to delicately cut a groove into the metal form. The knurling of cross takes inspiration from our roots as builders of custom motorcycles and also those classic iconic valve ampifiers and mixing equipment.

The knurl is a criss-cross; symmetrical and quite tight with a slightly course tactility that feels very unique – especially if all you’ve known is standard hardware. It catches the light dramatically when used on lighting pendants, for example.
