When Sir Henry Royce and Charles Rolls founded their luxury motor car company in 1906, their guiding principle was: ‘Take the best that exists and make it better.’ Paying homage to Sir Henry Royce and his engineering prowess, Buster + Punch have adapted their elegant and innovative LED BUSTER bulb with an exclusive gold-plated bayonet design as an exclusive product offering for the Rolls Royce Enthusiast Club exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery, London

Combining a high-tech LED light source with the Royce-patented B22 fitting, the Buster bulb is a precious blend of old and new. A contemporary version of the Edison filament bulb, the teardrop-shaped glass shell houses a resin light pipe that creates a crisp, clean light quality. Updated with a gold-plated bayonet cap for the exhibition, the piece is inspired by the Rolls-Royce legacy of harnessing energy with superb grace.

“At Buster + Punch we started making motorbikes and then turned to engineered lighting, so it was great to find a kindered spirit in Henry Royce, the co-founder of Rolls Royce. A man that designed remarkable cars whilst also improving and patenting the bayonet- style light bulb.”

– Massimo Minale, Designer & Founder

“At Buster and Punch we pride ourselves in producing products of genuine engineering excellence. It’s a real honour to pay homage to the bayonet-style bulb, improved and patented by Henry Royce, the co-founder of Rolls Royce, with whom we share a similar philosophy of excellence and innovation.”

– Iain Dulley, Manufacturing Director & Partner
